fashion 9 slip dresses that will take you literally anywhere. Leigh Campbell

Welcome to the Nothing To Wear Edit where each week we curate the best of whatever we spoke about on the podcast.

When it comes to versatile clothing, slip dresses reign supreme. It can be dressed up for occasions such as weddings and graduations, or, pair it with some sneakers and you’re ready for a stroll in the park.

Back in the ’90s, slip dresses were considered quite controversial because of their strong resemblance to lingerie. Now, it’s considered a staple – and for good reason.

When worn on its own, it gives off chic, minimalist vibes. But throw a blazer or chunky knit on top and all of a sudden it transforms into something more grunge and relaxed.

It’s a multitasking dress that doubles as a skirt when used as a layering piece, and I think every woman should own at least one.

Listen to this week’s episode of Nothing To Wear. Post continues after audio.

But not all slip dresses are made the same, and depending on what you’re after, it’s important to look at the style, cut and fit before hitting purchase.

I’ve rounded up my favourite slip dresses in every price range and style, so check them out below, and hopefully you’ll come across one that you love.
